During an inspection of a hotel in Nonthaburi today, the police uncovered an illegal casino.
According to the police report, the casino was located on the 9th floor of the hotel. During the inspection, 26 Chinese nationals, who were patrons of the establishment, and 23 Thai workers were detained. The search revealed 6 Baccarat tables, 6 slot machines, gambling chips totaling over 10 million baht, and 3.5 million baht in cash. The police will not disclose the name of the hotel, the owner's name, or the detainees' information until an investigation is conducted to hold those involved accountable for the committed crimes.
