A British citizen has been arrested in Phuket for the unlawful possession and carrying of a firearm in a public place.
According to police information, a few days earlier, the man attempted to visit a nightclub in Rawai.
Before entering the establishment, his Glock 19 pistol accidentally fell out. The club administration promptly reported the incident to the police, but the Briton managed to escape.
It is reported that the man left Thailand on the same day, but returned to the island a few days later, thinking that the firearm incident had been forgotten.
The man was detained a few hours after arriving in Phuket. During the investigation, the police found that the Briton was involved in several crimes on the island and had been convicted in his homeland for drug and firearm trafficking.
