The political parties "Forward Movement" and "Justice Party" have proposed creating a humanitarian corridor and a safety zone along the border of Thailand and Myanmar.

Representatives of the parties expressed concern that the conflict in Myanmar is affecting the border areas of Thailand, causing fear among Thai residents.

Furthermore, the safety zone, along with the humanitarian corridor spanning 5 kilometers, could serve as an additional refuge for Myanmar refugees, whose numbers exceed 5,000.

On August 3, 2023, Myanmar armed forces were spotted on the Thai side of Umphang, the southernmost district of Tak Province. Last year, a Myanmar military aircraft violated Thailand's airspace while conducting operations against resistance forces along the border.

The Secretary-General of the Justice Party also calls for diplomatic cooperation with other ASEAN members to prevent the escalation of the regional conflict in Myanmar.
