
Starting next month, Thailand is lifting visa requirements for citizens of India and Taiwan.
According to, visa-free travel will be in effect from November 10, 2023, to May 10, 2024. Tourists will be able to stay in the country without a visa for 30 days.
The government claims that simplifying entry conditions for this category of tourists could significantly increase tourism revenue.
Based on the latest data, from January 1 to October 29, Thailand welcomed 22 million tourists, contributing 927.5 billion baht to the country's budget.
According to the Bank of Thailand (BOT), tourism accounts for approximately 12% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and nearly one-fifth of jobs.
