Due to heavy rains and floods, over 63,520 hectares of farmland in 17 provinces of Thailand have been affected.
According to satellite images from the Geoinformatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GITSDA), in the northern province of Sukhothai alone, more than 20,960 hectares of agricultural land have been affected, with the majority located in the districts of Muang, Si Samrong, and Kong Krailat.
At this time, the floodwaters have started to recede as the water level in the Yom River began to fall.
The other 16 affected provinces include Lampang, Tak, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani, Lopburi, Saraburi, Ang Thong, Suphanburi, Ayutthaya, Prachinburi, and Chanthaburi.
